CONCORD, N.H. – Sports betting in New Hampshire has reached an all-time high as the state has recorded record-high numbers in the month of January in both the sports betting handle and the betting revenue.

New Hampshire continues the trend of all-time high betting handle numbers being reported in January. This is the most active the regulated betting market has been.

New Hampshire Betting Handle

In total, legal sports betting in New Hampshire has brought in a $99.5 million betting handle and $8 million in revenue. This number just surpassed the state’s betting handle of their previous high of $98.2 million which came in October 2021.

These January 2022 betting numbers were also a massive 66.4% increase from January 2021. In January 2021, the state saw a $59.8 million betting handle.

The handle was split between the state’s only online betting operator, DraftKings, and the three retail locations. DraftKings reported an $81.6 million handle alone while the three locations combined accounted for $18 million.

New Hampshire Betting Revenue

The $8 million in revenue that New Hampshire sports betting saw in January 2022 set a new monthly record for the state. The online sports betting market in the Granite State is what took over with $7.1 million coming from online and just $905,849 from retail locations.

This is a whopping 90.5% increase from January of 2021 which saw a $4.2 million sports betting revenue stream. From a month-to-month standpoint, the $8 million is a 207.7% increase from December’s $2.6 million in revenue.

The previous revenue record for the state came in November of 2021 where they saw $6.2 million in revenue.

Over the entire year from January to January, New Hampshire pulled in a $508.5 million betting handle and $31.3 million in revenue.
