- The New York Jets made a sponsorship agreement with 888casino NJ.
- The franchise first partnered with 888 during the 2018-19 NFL season.
- The use of the Jets’ logo will be only one of the benefits of the agreement for 888.
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The New York Jets and 888casino NJ have entered into their second sponsorship agreement.
Last year, the Jets partnered with 888 Holdings and have solidified the partnership extension this time around. This was the first sponsorship agreement that the Jets made with an actual gambling establishment, despite also being partnered with MGM last year.
“We couldn’t be happier with this deal. Partnering up with the New York Jets is a dream come true for us,” said Yaniv Sherman, 888’s head of group commercial development. “We are so excited to be the first NJ online casino to sponsor an NFL team.”
888casino NJ is now the official casino sponsor of the Jets for the 2019-20 NFL season, which will allow the Jets to promote the online casino all throughout the home stadium of the New Jersey-based organization. MetLife Stadium will brandish promotional materials for the 888casino NJ and will also be the official game sponsor of the Monday Night Football showdown between the Jets and the New England Patriots.
The deal will also display gambling promotions on the Jets’ websites as well as through the ESPN radio during live broadcasts.
But as any partnership is set up, the Jets will get their fair share of marketing as well. The Jets’ logo will be displayed on the casino’s website and app as well as be available for use in commercials and social media posts.
“At 888casino NJ, we are always looking to score huge wins – this one certainly ranks right up there among the best of them,” said Sherman. “We look forward to supporting the New York Jets in every way by promoting them to the best of our abilities.”
This is just one of a few casino sponsorships in the NFL, as the league itself paired with Caesars, who became the official casino sponsor of the NFL last year.
Elsewhere around the sporting world, deals are also being announced, as the New Jersey Devils and Unibet entered into an agreement earlier this month.
As professional sports leagues are opening their doors to more and more gaming sponsors, expect to see the price tag and benefits of these arrangements increase in the next few years as sports betting and gambling grows in popularity.
