  • PlayUp has partnered with Freehold Raceway to bring mobile sports betting to the racetrack.
  • The New Jersey Devils also reached an agreement with PlayUp marking the companies first time partnering with a sports team.

FREEHOLD, N.J. — The Freehold racetrack announced earlier this week that an agreement had been reached with PlayUp to bring mobile sports betting to the New Jersey racetrack.

This agreement made Freehold the third racetrack to offer sports betting in New Jersey could still make more arrangements to offer more mobile betting in New Jersey.

The New Jersey Devils also reached an agreement with PlayUp that will give the company exclusive access to marketing and promotional tools for sports betting. One major impact this partnership will create is the PlayUp Sports Lounge that will be set up in the Prudential Center.

“We are thrilled to partner with the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center for our first-ever US sports team partnership,” said Dr. Laila Mintas, Chief Executive Officer – USA, PlayUp. “Our Mobile Sports Betting app will be live in the Garden State soon, so engaging New Jersey sports fans is extremely important for us. This unique, digital-focused partnership provides PlayUp with several opportunities to connect with New Jersey Devils fans. We have been impressed with the off-season success of the team’s innovative content and we could not be happier to join them as we enter this historic season.”

New Jersey Devils fans can look forward to seeing PlayUp across the arena and in various media advertisements surrounding the team.

PlayUp will likely continue to expand across the US betting economy. For New Jersey specifically, PlayUp will be among a variety of betting options already available to bettors.

New Jersey’s sports betting handle was among the highest of any state in the US in 2020 and it is expected to continue to grow in the coming years. With many sports betting companies already reaping the benefits associated with the booming New Jersey sports gambling environment there remained some untapped potential for revenue and this is where PlayUp has carved out its own path.

The Australian based company is executing its plan to expand in the US sports betting market as more and more states legalize gambling.

PlayUp received its license to operate in New Jersey on January 12 and have wasted no time securing their share of the market. This is the second state PlayUp has received a license in as they also operate in Colorado, giving them a fantastic share of the overall market.
