- Scottie Scheffler has +165 odds to win the Tour Championship, while just one other golfer has shorter than +1000 odds (Rory McIlroy).
- Scheffler won the Tour Championship last year and the two previous champions (McIlroy and Hovland) are both within the top six shortest odds.
ATLANTA – The FedExCup race comes to a close as the Tour Championship is set for this weekend at East Lake Golf Club to crown a new champion for the 2025 season.
PGA Tour Championship Winner Odds
- Scottie Scheffler +165
- Rory McIlroy +800
- Tommy Fleetwood +1200
- Ludvig Aberg +1600
- Russell Henley +2000
- Viktor Hovland +2200
Legal sports betting sites have Scottie Scheffler listed as a massive favorite with +165 odds, while Rory McIlroy is a distant second at +800.
Scheffler is no stranger to being the favorite, but +165 is a wildly short mark, even for the best player in the world. However, it makes sense when considering his recent performance, winning two of his last three appearances and his status as the reigning Tour Championship winner.
Rory McIlroy has three Tour Championships under his belt, most recently winning the event in 2022. He has not won a tournament since taking home his first Masters title in April, but has earned three top ten finishes in his last five outings.
Tommy Fleetwood continues to inch ever so closely to his first ever win on the PGA Tour, finishing inside the top four in three of his last five events. He finished 20th in last year’s Tour Championship.
Ludvig Aberg has found his stroke over the last few tournaments, recording three top ten finishes in his last four appearances after a span of just one top ten finish and four times missing the cut over ten events. He finished 16th at the Tour Championship last season.
Russell Henley has had a resurgence this summer, finishing fifth at the Memorial Tournament and second at the Travelers Championship while finishing no worse than 17th in his last six outings. He finished tied for fourth at last year’s Tour Championship, a large part of why he finds himself with the fifth best odds at PGA Tour betting sites.
Rounding out the top six is Viktor Hovland, who won the 2023 edition of the Tour Championship one of his seven career wins on the PGA Tour. Hovland is a true wildcard, with the ability to do things like win the Valspar Championship after missing the cut in his previous three tournaments.
