SEATTLE – The Jacksonville Jaguars travel across the country to Lumen Field to take on the Seattle Seahawks in a Sunday afternoon showdown.
Oddsmakers are anticipating a low-scoring game, instilling this game with a low total of just 44 points. Geno Smith and the Seahawks are three-point favorites. DK Metcalf has -115 odds for Week 8 to record over 65.5 receiving yards vs the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Rookie cornerbacks are often targeted at a high rate, and Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Tyson Campbell is no different.
Coming Off Injury
Campbell is set to return to the field this week, after being out since Week 4. Prior to getting injured, opposing teams were targeting the rookie cornerback on 25% of their total passing attempts.
This week Tyson Campbell will be lined up outside against DK Metcalf a majority of the time. This spells trouble for a rookie cornerback that has already been struggling and sets up well for Metcalf to go over his prop total.
DK Metcalf leads the Seahawks with 22 targets, and 14 catches of more than 10 yards down the field – the type of targets where Tyson Campbell has been most susceptible.
On passes of at least 10 yards in his three games, Campbell has allowed five catches on eight targets for 138 yards. Quarterbacks are picking on Tyson Campbell heavily downfield.
Campell has had issues with defending the deep ball, going back all the way to his college days at the University of Georgia.
Campbell was charged with allowing a completion rate of 55% on all passes over 10 yards.
DK Metcalf is priced in a dead zone on DFS sites at $6,800.
Metcalf is projecting around 4-5% ownership around the DFS industry. Most of the WR ownership is expected to be centered around the 5-6k range with chalky options such as Michael Pittman, Tee Higgins, and Devonta Smith.
Chris Godwin is another high-owned option right next to Metcalf at $6400. If Metcalf can hit on his prop at legal sportsbooks and score a touchdown (-105), DFS players can expect around 18-20 DK points.
