NEW YORK – Sports betting fans will be seeing new betting-related content coming with a newly expanded partnership with Sportradar and NBC Sports Regional Network.

The partnership will see the companies create all-new exclusive data and content in hopes to engage the next generation of sports betting fans.

This is an expanded partnership and builds off of the existing betting data partnership which produced the alternative betting broadcast for the Chicago Bulls game on April 22.

What legal sports betting fans can expect to see is new ideas similar to the alternative betting broadcast for the Bulls game.

The goal is to bring in new fans into the sports betting world with engaging original content that would make betting all the more engaging.

“Sportradar is excited to expand its relationship with the NBC Sports Regional Networks as they continue to evolve their offerings to further engage the next-generation sports fan,” said Brian Josephs, Vice President, Digital Sport, Sportradar. “NBC Sports Regional Networks are iconic and have shaped the way that fans watch their favorite teams and athletes. Our technology platform and 360-degree approach enable them to tap into a number of our capabilities and will give them the flexibility they need to create tailored experiences that meet the changing demands and expectations of their audiences.”

NBC Sports will be leveraging Sportsradar’s long history of implementing live sports and data to create original fan-engaging content.

Sportradar has data for all major sporting leagues and has created content such as the MLB Statcast powered by Google Cloud and NBA Advanced Stats. NBC Sports is looking to create similar content to drive new fans into the betting world.

“The NBC Sports Regional Networks are committed to delivering impactful, entertaining and informative live-game experiences, and continuing to experiment and enhance our coverage through technology and innovation,” said Jon Slobotkin, Senior Vice President, Content and Live Programming for NBC Sports Regional Networks. “Advanced data is a significant component of those efforts, and Sportradar delivers the services and capabilities we need to best serve fans and meet their evolving preferences for how they consume content covering their favorite teams and players.”

The expanded partnership has just been announced, so it is unknown when fans can hope to see the new content. With NBA betting at its peak, however, they will likely aim to launch things ahead of the NBA Playoffs.
