New England Patriots

  • The New England Patriots are +6-point underdogs to the Green Bay Packers in Week 4 of the season.
  • The Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals are 2.5-point favorites over the Pats.
  • The Buffalo Bills are favored to beat the Patriots with a 3-point spread.

BOSTON – Going into the new NFL season, oddsmakers have already unleashed plenty of early betting lines for tons of games throughout the season. That includes most of the New England Patriots games. Looking at the Patriots odds, they are facing underdog odds to teams that they’ve dominated in the regular season such as the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals, and Buffalo Bills.

New England Patriots Odds Vs. Teams

  • +6 Vs. Packers
  • +2.5 Vs. Vikings
  • +3 Vs. Bills
  • +2.5 Vs. Cardinals

It is worth noting that oddsmakers have faded New England in these three games being that three of the four will be played on the road while their only home game of the four is against the Bills who have only lost five home games in the last three seasons.

Pats Vs. Packers Week 4

Of all the teams on this list, the Packers are the only ones who have a tied series record against the Patriots at 6-6. Something else to take note of is that New England struggles heavily when they play at Lambeau Field having gone 1-4 all-time when playing there.

Aaron Rodgers has also done generally well against New England in his career going for 368 and 2 touchdowns in 2014 and 259 and 3 touchdowns in 2018. With Rodgers winning back-to-back MVPs, there should be no signs of him slowing down in this one.

Pats Vs. Vikings Week 12

New England might be able to catch a break in this one against Minnesota being that Kirk Cousins is known to struggle when playing on Thursday Night Football with a 3-5 record in his NFL career. Mac Jones has also started his career an undefeated 2-0 during primetime games in his career.

The Patriots have also done historically good against the Vikings with a 9-4 series record and have won the last five meetings.

Pats Vs. Bills Week 13

This marks the only home game for the Patriots of the four and they could not have asked for a worse matchup as the Bills have been scorching hot. Buffalo has won four of the last five meetings against New England.

The only thing to keep an eye on is that Josh Allen has only gone 3-4 against them in his career, however, has won three of the last four going for 300+ yards in two of the last three wins. In this matchup specifically, the 3-point spread should be taken almost immediately being that it is more than likely going to shift in favor of Buffalo as the season goes on giving it incredible value.

Pats Vs. Cardinals Week 14

In their Monday Night Football matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, for the same reason, New England might get lucky against the Vikings is the same reason they could get lucky here. Kyler Murray struggles with primetime games with a 1-4 record overall. Now, the Pats shouldn’t be slammed per say being that Arizona will be back to full strength with DeAndre Hopkins, but with Murray’s downward trend, they could be worth the risk.
