  • Odds favor that Musk will not be arrested (-1200) despite California’s stay-at-home order.
  • Whether Musk steps down (+800) or the Tesla workers unionize (+700) are also entertainment props available.

LOS ANGELES – Sportsbooks have listed a handful of bets surrounding Elon Musk and his company, Tesla. Musk has been in the news quite a bit recently due to some odd behavior such as not be worried about the current Coronavirus pandemic.

Musk has been having issues with abiding by the rules in California regarding social distancing and other guidelines that have been implemented to flatten the curve of the outbreak.

The Behaviors Of Elon Musk And The Bets To Wager On

“If somebody wants to stay in their house that’s great, they should be allowed to stay in their house, they should not be compelled to leave, but to say that they cannot leave their house and they will be arrested if they do, this is fascist,” said Musk. “This is not Democratic. This is not freedom.”

One bet at BetOnline Sportsbook asks the question “Will Elon Musk be arrested before June 1, 2020?

Odds are heavily favored as “No” (-1200) while “Yes” is set at +750.

Bookmakers seem to be taking the safe side that Musk is a billionaire who could talk his way out of handcuffs should he be in the process of being arrested for something like not staying home.

Musk is also selling off his houses and vowing to no longer own one, an announcement that he tweeted on May 1.

With that, sportsbooks pose if the man will step down as the CEO of Tesla.

“No” is the favorite with odds of -2500 while “Yes” is the underdog with odds of +800.

If that wasn’t enough, he has also tweeted about the stock price of Tesla being too high in his opinion. Whether or not Tesla workers will unionize in unknown but online sportsbooks don’t believe the event to occur either.

“No” comes in as the favorite (-2000) and “Yes” sits at a nice pay out of +700.

What Will Elon Do Next?

This feels like the beginning of what will be more entertainment bets listed on sportsbooks centering around Elon Musk and his antics.

He plans to reopen his factory in California which has led to even further Elon Musk prop bets. After threatening to move his business out of California altogether should they not allow Tesla to get back to work, oddsmakers asked what state Tesla will be moved to.

That prop has since been pulled, but the sheer number of prop bets for Elon Musk have sports bettors back on track to make some money.
