ST. LOUIS – The UFL season is hitting the home stretch as Week 8 out of 10 gets underway this weekend. One of the biggest games of the season will take place Saturday afternoon as the St. Louis Battlehawks host the Birmingham Stallions.

Stallions vs Battlehawks Game Odds

Both teams enter the game with a 5-2 record, tied for the best in the league. Legal sports betting sites give the Battlehawks a slight edge, likely due to their well known home field advantage.

The two point spread indicates that this game could essentially be a toss up, but St. Louis should be able to pull this one out.

The Battlehawks are 3-1 at home this season with their only loss coming to the DC Defenders back in mid April. Birmingham has gone 2-1 on the road, with their only road loss also coming against DC earlier in the season.

The Stallions may have to start backup quarterback J’Mar Smith this week, who is the fifth QB to have been on Birmingham’s roster after four others had been injured prior.

Despite leading them to a win against the Houston Roughnecks last week, Smith does not inspire confidence to take down one of the elite teams in the league.

The Battlehawks should extend their home record to 4-1 this weekend.

Renegades vs Defenders Game Odds

DC is tied for the best record in the league, currently sitting at 5-2, while Arlington is 3-4 and currently riding a three game losing streak. Legal UFL betting sites still give the Renegades a chance, listing them as just 3 point underdogs.

However, the Defenders are the play here, with the 3 point spread giving great odds at -110.

DC is 2-1 at home this season, whereas the Renegades are 0-2 on the road. The two teams have already played this season, resulting in a 37-33 win for the Defenders.

In their last three games, Arlington has faced three of the best teams in the league in the St. Louis Battlehawks, Michigan Panthers, and DC Defenders and lost each game by a single score, explaining why the line is so short despite the difference in record.

However, the Renegades have only been able to muster up 9 and 6 points in each of their two road games this season, which likely won’t be enough to keep up with the Defenders’ high flying offense.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see the Renegades keep the game close, but DC should be able to pull away and win by more than a field goal.
