  • The casino will offer a retail, online, and mobile app for legal sports betting.
  • The app and platform are expected to go live this year.

BETHLEHEM, Penn. – A new sportsbook will be launching in Pennsylvania and will give residents even more options to the sports betting market in the state.

Wind Creek Bethlehem will officially be offering legal sports betting after the approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

The casino plans to operate a land-based, online, and mobile sports betting app.

In offering these sports betting services, Wind Creek will be teaming up the US division of the British betting brand Betfred.

The construction of the land-based sportsbook has a target date of August 18 and is scheduled to open doors on or around November 21.

As the 14th brick-and-mortar sportsbook in the state, it is set to add a 3,420 square-foot sportsbook with 13 betting kiosks and 79 TVs to the already large live gaming venue.

The mobile app will be the 10th mobile option in Pennsylvania and will be Betfred’s third sportsbook in the country.

The plans for the online and mobile wagering have not released a launch date.

Pennsylvania is still in the process of opening back up casinos and sportsbooks around that state after the nation-wide pandemic shutdowns.

There are certain conditions that need to be met before either of the platforms of the sportsbook can fully go live. These approvals will also come the from PGCB.

Once they are set to launch the sportsbook, the mobile app will most likely be the first available service followed by online wagering and the live sportsbook in the Fall.
