TAMPA, Fla. – With March Madness starting next Wednesday, women’s college basketball is packed with star power and betting opportunities that could go overlooked.
From JuJu Watkins‘ scoring dominance to Paige Bueckers leading UConn’s title charge, every team has key players shaping the season. This guide breaks down top performers, smart prop bets for women’s college basketball, and sleeper picks to watch—helping you stay ahead of the legal sports betting sites as the postseason heats up.
USC +500
With any list of the best women’s basketball players, JuJu Watkins is a must to include. Scoring 24+ points per game, her 10 rebounds + assists per game have her active for every game.
Watkins has been hot lately, scoring 29+ in three of her last four and hitting the 20-mark in her last six.
A true scorer, JuJu gets the free throw line and converts, so don’t chase three pointers for her. Instead, take plus money odds on 2+ steals. In her 65 collegiate games played, she hasn’t recorded a steal in four. Add in another 19 of hitting only 1 and this underdog wager is often profitable.
Aside JuJu is Kiki Iriafen – who benefits greatly from Watkins’ pressure. Scoring around 19 a game over the last two seasons, always consider the over for Kiki’s rebounds.
At six, it’s a lock but expect to pay the price for it. Rather, consider over 8.5 boards a game, which should come with standard odds.
For reference, she’s hit 9+ in six of her last nine.
UCONN +325
On a national title run, UCONN is favored to win the title, in the mix for a Final Four appearance at minimum. Under Paige Bueckers, there is zero doubt they won’t make it, especially when adding in the help of Sarah Strong.
This duo combines for over 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists per game.
Don’t get trapped by high lines set by college basketball sportsbooks on Paige – one of which is Bueckers’s made three pointers. Often set at 2.5, keep in mind she’s gone over this mark once in her last dozen games.
Still, she’s the number one pick and captain of a potential championship winning team. If a three is needed, she’s taking it.
- Don’t miss out on: KK Arnold. While the sophomore only averages 5.5 points per game, she still gets involved under limited minutes. Look for her assist+rebound prop bet and take the over for anything at 5.5 or less.
UCLA +525
The duo of Lauren Betts and Kiki Rice is a powerhouse that could bring a title to UCLA despite being outside the top four. In other words, expect them to play many games in March with defensive intensity.
Averaging almost a double double, Betts works effortlessly, shooting 63% on the year and adding nearly three blocks a game. On the perimeter is Rice, averaging 1.6 steals a game to compliment her 13 points and near five assists per game.
Whenever you see a bet on Lauren Betts, take the over. In fact, request a bet on Bovada for her to record a 20-10-5 game – it’s probably worth the odds.
South Carolina +300
A firecracker off the bench, MiLaysia Fulwiley is everything you need all at once. While her minutes per game have her around the mid-tier of Gamecock players, her intensity means so much more, leading the team in shot attempts.
But it’s her ability to create turnovers, push the ball, and set up her teammates that make her really special.
Recording eight steals in her last three games (all neutral site), never count out Fulwiley’s ability to make it on the box score.
Notre Dame +600
If you haven’t heard of Hannah Hidalgo, it’s obvious you don’t bet on women’s college basketball or watch it. But, that’s okay.
She’s electric – multiple steals a game, efficient shooter, scoring 20+ as a freshman and sophomore.
A likely two-seed this season, Notre Dame’s leader along with Sonia Citron are scorers to really pay attention to. Citron averages 14 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, cementing herself as a must bet for WBB fans.
- Bonus bet: Emma Risch over 0.5 3PM. Risch is from the same All-American class as Hidalgo and while she doesn’t get the playing time in comparison, she makes the most of it. Averaging only 4.6 points per game, she is shooting one three pointer per 2.8 minutes of play! If (and when) the Fighting Irish grow a large lead, don’t be surprised to see Risch in the game shooting.
TCU +8000
As one of the leaders of the TCU team, it doesn’t all fall on Hailey Van Lith, but she’s still a name to watch. Playing the unders could be wise for Van Lith, as TCU has multiple offensive talents.
But, her high minutes per game could have you sweating
LSU +3300
Reliable and consistent, Mikaylah Williams grew her numbers very well from Year 1 to Year 2. Averaging about 17.5 per game, she’s nearing 2 3PM per game with percentages a few basis points away from a 50/40/90 season.
Talk about efficiency… and she’s the third-highest scoring player on the Tigers.
Expecting to be a #2 seed, Williams, Flau’jaw Johnson, and Aneesah Morrow should easily find themselves in the Elite 8 depending on their bracket, despite the long odds.
Duke +5000
Getting all the attention as the freshman sensation, Toby Fournier only plays about 20 minutes per game coming off the bench. Sometimes, this causes even the best legal sportsbooks online to avoid posting lines…but pay attention when they do.
Duke is starting to unleash her and she’s beginning to shoot the ball a lot more in volume. Don’t chase a scoring over-under of 18.5 points, but 1+ block or over 7.5 rebounds should be a near lock moving forward.
Outside of Fournier, Duke has Jadyn Donovan. She is not a scorer! But she is everywhere – a true stat box filler. Outside of points, bet her overs if listed – rebounds, blocks, steals, it doesn’t matter.
FSU +20000
The nation’s leading scorer in Ta’Niysa Latson is dropping over 25 a game. A rough outing against Duke shouldn’t turn you off here. But, don’t over extend yourself.
Last year’s ACC Tournament and Latson’s one game in the bracket didn’t meet expectations. She’s a scorer, but only broke the 20-point mark once over those four games.
For her rebounds or assists, if it’s listed around 4.5 or 5.5, take the under.
