World Series Game 3 Betting Odds: The Series Now A Best Of Five

ARLINGTON, Texas – The 2020 World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Tampa Bay Rays has begun with each team getting a win in the first two games.

With the series now tied and after a much needed day off on Thursday, Game 3 could be a pivotal turning point for one of the two top teams.

MLB fans may be hoping that this will not be the last tie of the series and it will continue being competitive and interesting. Legal sports betting sites have posted the odds for the upcoming Fall Classic matchup.

The Dodgers are favored to take the game and will be starting with RHP Walker Buehler who had six shutout innings in his last start against the Atlanta Braves in the NLCS.

The Rays are giving the ball to RHP Charlie Morton who is a curveball specialist and 3-0 with a 0.57 ERA in his three starts in the postseason. Even coming off the win, the Rays are not expected to win the next game but this postseason is very different and can cause unexpected outcomes.

“This has been fairly unique,” said Kevin Cash, Rays manager. “When we saw the postseason schedule we were all like, ‘Wow, that has a potential to be a lot and take a toll on guys.’ That’s a heavy workload playing 12 in 13 days. That is not something that we normally do in the regular season. I know it’s the postseason, and it’s very easy for all of us to say, ‘Deal with it. Get out there. Play.’ These games are intense. They’re taxing.”

The intense and taxing nature of this postseason could be a huge determining factor in who will win the championship. As for now, odds still have the Dodgers as a lock for this series.

The Dodgers have been the outright favorite in the series from the beginning but the Game 2 victory ensured there would be no sweep in this championship series.

Many believe the Dodgers are the better team in this series but a Game 3 win by the Rays would make things a little bit more interesting for MLB bettors.

The first pitch of Game 3 will be thrown at 8:08 pm ET on Friday evening.
