INDIANAPOLIS – A pivotal Game 4 of the NBA Finals will take place Friday night in Gainbridge Fieldhouse as the Indiana Pacers look to extend their 2-1 series lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Thunder vs Pacers Game 4 Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Thunder -6.0 (-110) -230 O 227.0 (-110)
Pacers +6.0 (-110) +190 U 227.0 (-110)

Game 3 was headlined by a 27 point outburst by Bennedict Mathurin to lead all scorers, going 9-12 from the field in just 22 minutes which played an integral role in the Pacers’ key victory.

Legal sports betting sites favor the Thunder by six points in Game 4 and still have them listed as -200 favorites to win the series.

Bettors should take advantage of sportsbooks with NBA Finals odds and their reluctance to fade the Thunder and bet on Indiana’s moneyline at +190 odds.

Missed Opportunity Game 3

Oklahoma City had been the most dominant team in the NBA all season long, going 68-14 through the regular season and losing just four games in the postseason before reaching the finals.

However, their lack of scoring depth has come back to bite them when it matters the most. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren, and Lu Dort were the only players to score in double figures for OKC, while Williams and Dort were the only two of the four who managed to shoot 50% from the field.

It looks even worse for the Thunder when you consider the fact that they shot 10-22 (45%) from three while the Pacers shot just 9-27 (33%) and made four more free throws on eight more attempts, but still lost by nine points.

The Pacers’ nine three pointers made was tied for their second fewest in a game this postseason. They had lost three of the four games where they made ten or less three pointers prior to Game 3.

Pacers’ Offensive Firepower

It’s no secret that the Pacers’ prolific offense is what got them here and if they want to win their first title in franchise history, it will have to be what gets them over the hump.

Unlike OKC, Indiana has lots of depth offensively, with seven players who have scored 20 or more points at least one time this postseason.

While Mathurin, Tyrese Haliburton, and Pascal Siakam all had notable performances in Game 3, Aaron Nesmith, Andrew Nembhard, Myles Turner, and Obi Toppin combined for a total of 32 points on 13-29 shooting from the field, but Indiana still managed to find a way to win.

NBA betting sites have been slow to take the Pacers seriously this entire postseason and it still has not changed. Expect Indiana to get it going offensively at home and take a 3-1 series lead.
