Arizona Diamondbacks Stadium - Chase Field.

  • Caesars announced Thursday they will be opening a sportsbook venue inside of Chase Field, the home of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

PHEONIX, Ariz. – Fans of the Arizona Diamondbacks and sports betting just received an early Christmas present.

Announced Thursday, Caesars sportsbooks will be opening a brand new sports betting location inside of Chase Field, the home of the Diamondbacks. The news comes in the wake of the passing of sports betting legislation in Arizona just last month. Governor Doug Ducey signed House Bill 2772 just a few weeks ago which officially will allow for regulated sports betting venues to open across the state of Arizona.

Now, Caesars will be taking advantage of this opportunity in a major way by moving into Chase Field. The new deal will also allow Caesars to bring their online sports betting platform to Arizona, with the Chase Field location as its home base.

“We have long enjoyed successful gaming operations in Arizona and are delighted to expand into sports betting alongside the Arizona Diamondbacks,” said Tom Reeg, Caesars Entertainment. “Together, we have the opportunity to create new ways for baseball fans to engage with the game both in-person near the ballpark and online anywhere in Arizona.”

Caesars isn’t the only one looking to move into Phoenix however, as FanDuel also announced that they would be partnering with the Phoenix Suns to open a sportsbook inside their Arena.

Coincidentally, these arenas are located right across the street from each other meaning that Arizona sports bettors will have plenty of options when it comes to betting on sports in downtown Phoenix.

This move of sportsbooks opening up inside of arenas and stadiums will likely catch on across the country.

In England and other European countries, betting inside the stadium has long been an enjoyable pastime. Fans can enjoy unique odds and lines based on real time action, and then watch the game unfold in person.

With major betting expansion continuing across the country, expect in-stadium betting to continue to grow in popularity.
