Villanova is the clear favorite at online sportsbooks. The Wildcats are rank 7 and are currently sitting at 5-1 on the season. Butler has only played one game so far with an 1-0 record.

Smart money is on Villanova, but the -1000 moneyline odds make this betting line unattractive to many sports bettors.

The better move will be to take action on the totals. When taking the Under at 130.0, the odds are +115. Both Butler and Villanova are low scoring teams, and the Wildcats tend to thrive defensively.

Butler is also a strong defensive team, holding the Western Michigan Broncos to just 62 points in their one win this season. The Bulldogs only scored 66 points themselves.

Against the stronger defense of the Wildcats, Butler may be held to an even lower scoring night. Should Villanova hold the Bulldogs on defense, and Butler manages to hold Villanova on the other end, taking the under could exploit the sportsbook and turn a major profit.

Duke – Notre Dame

While the 21 ranked team Duke Blue Devils are the favorite, they are only favored to win by three points. Duke has been struggling all season, hosting a 2-2 record.

While Duke’s losses did come from two higher-ranked schools, No. 4 Michigan State Spartans and No. 13 Illinois Fighting Illini, it’s the way the Blue Devils lost that should have underdog bettors excited.

Notre Dame has not been consistent this season either, sitting at 2-2 themselves, but the Fighting Irish are coming off of a nail-biting 64-63 win against Kentucky in their last outing, and the momentum may catch Duke off guard.

Moving away from college basketball betting, those who take action on soccer have a major matchup to bet on.

While soccer bettors  are leaning heavily on Liverpool, both clubs are neck and neck in terms of points at 25. Both teams also have identical win-loss records, and both are coming off of draws in their last games.

The +285 odds for the game ending in a Draw should be tempting to many sports bettors. The betting line to break the book, however, will be the spread.
