Mike Evans

  • Mike Evans is priced at $14,000 on daily fantasy sites.
  • Tom Brady is the highest-ranked player on DFS sites.
  • Evan Engram is priced at $8,500 on fantasy football betting sites.

NEW YORKWeek 8 of Monday Night Football will feature a matchup of the Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers traveling north to take on the New York Giants.

With this matchup between the Bucs and Giants comes an opportunity for people to partake in daily fantasy football. Being that this is the only game of the night, this is a five-man fantasy lineup in which one of the five players is selected as the MVP to earn 1.5 times the point.

Still, this is just a suggested lineup and should be changed to the user’s likings.

Optimal DFS Lineup – MNF Week 8
MVP – Mike Evans, WR, $14,000
AnyFLEX—Tom Brady, QB, $16,500
AnyFLEX—Scotty Miller, WR, $11,000
AnyFLEX—Sterling Shepard, WR, $9,000
AnyFLEX—Evan Engram, TE, $8,500

Starting at the MVP slot, Mike Evans is poised for a nice game during Monday Night’s matchup.

His running mate and WR1 for the Buccaneers, Chris Godwin, is sidelined this week as he fractured his finger and had surgery to repair it.

That means Mike Evans will fill in as the lone WR1 for the team. It is no secret the Evans is one of Tom Brady’s favorite Redzone targets and also one of the most explosive receivers in the NFL as he has already caught six touchdowns on the season in the seven games that they have played.

He does not get the targets he needs, but with Godwin out, Evans’ is sure to be the main focus of this offense when it comes to the passing game and offers great value at the MVP slot.

Tom Brady

Tom Brady can and should be rostered for this matchup here. Brady is red hot coming off of a 369-yard, four-touchdown game in Week 7 against the Raiders and will surely be looking to have a repeat performance again in Week 8.

Where things look up for Brady here against the Giants is that that they are coming off of a game where they allowed Carson Wentz to go for 359 yards and two touchdowns.

Brady should have no problem having a similar performance here as the Giants have looked lost this season.

Scotty Miller

With Chris Godwin out, Scotty Miller moves up on the depth chart as the teams’ WR2 which makes Miller a great option. Miller is not the most consistent fantasy football receiver but when he gets going, he really proves his value.

He is coming off a great game where he had 9 targets for 6 receptions, 109 yards and a touchdown. He could have a similar performance not only being that Godwin is out but also because the Giants are ranked 22 on legal betting sites when defending against opposing receivers.

In the Giants last five games, they have allowed opposing wide receivers to put up over 280 yards in four of those games which include two of over 340 yards. With that, Miller could be in line for a nice game against a weak Giants defense.

Sterling Shepard

Recently being activated off of injury reserve, Sterling Shepard looks as if he has not skipped a beat.

In his first game back in Week 7, Shepard went for 59 yards and a touchdown on 8 targets and 6 receptions which was good for 14.9 fantasy points. It looked as if Shepard was playing at a WR1/WR2 status and that this will be the case moving on.

Something else that helps Shepard’s case here against the Buccaneers is that the Bucs have allowed for some big yardage in three of their last four games which includes allowing 284 yards and two touchdowns in Week 7, 243 yards and a touchdown in Week 5 and 290 yards and three touchdowns in Week 4.

With that, Shepard could have a repeat performance as he continues to get back to form.

Evan Engram

Evan Engram could be a solid choice here as he offers great value with his asking price.

It was recently made clear that Engram is going to be viewed as the focal point of this Giants offense according to Giants head coach, Joe Judge. Engram has gotten more involved in the offense over the past few weeks as in two of their last four games he saw nine and 10 targets.

The Giants could look his way more often in this one as this is clearly a pass-first Giants offense.
