ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.Esports Entertainment Group has once again pushed further into the betting arena after partnering with Twin River Worldwide Holdings, Inc. to launch its mobile betting app in New Jersey.

Twin River is working towards acquiring the Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel & Casino, where the proprietary mobile sports betting product will be licensed through.

Both companies have expressed their excitement for the partnership. This is Esports Entertainment Group’s first foray in the Garden State’s betting market.

Esports Meets Twin River

The legal New Jersey sports betting market is one of the bigger markets in the country. With both land-based and mobile betting, entering this betting arena is a major win for Esports Entertainment Group.

The mobile sports betting app is set to launch pending Twin River’s acquisition of the Bally’s Atlantic, which is currently still in the works.

“We are excited to partner with Twin River as we bring mobile sports betting to the New Jersey market,” said Grant Johnson, CEO of Esports Entertainment Group. “When we completed our IPO on Nasdaq earlier this year, it was with the intention of expanding our operations in the US. With this partnership, we’re delivering on that goal.”

Earlier in the year, Esports Entertainment became the first iGaming publicly-traded company after listing on the Nasdaq.

This expanded the esports betting operator into the US, and now they plan to expand even further with the partnership with Twin River.

“Esports Entertainment will be a great addition to our growing partnerships with Sportsbook leaders around the world, as we currently operate sportsbooks in Rhode Island, Colorado, Delaware and Mississippi,” said George Papanier, President and CEO of Twin River Worldwide Holdings. “Bringing this new, unique offering to the AC market with a prominent gaming partner is one of the many exciting changes we have in store for Atlantic City in the months to come.”

Esports Entertainment has been aggressively expanding this year. In addition to going public in April and the partnership with Twin River, the company’s subsidiary VIE.gg partnered with CS:GO, team, Dignitas.

There has been a lot of moves made by Esports Entertainment this year and it seems like there are more things planned going forward. The esports giants foray into the legal sports betting arena has so far been a successful one.
