SECAUCUS, N.J. – There will be five new members to the Sports Betting Hall of Fame added at the end of April 2020.

Recognizing Positive Sports Betting Influence

The Sports Betting Hall of Fame was introduced to recognize people who have moved the sports betting industry forward. This includes people who have created new solutions for the industry or people who have pushed for sports betting legalization. Previous inductees include former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and Betfred Founder Fred Done.

Here are the five new members for the Sports Betting Hall of Fame:

Raymond Lesniak, Former Senator New Jersey
Roxy Roxborough, Legendary Las Vegas Oddsmaker
Jay Rood, COO, Bet.Works
Sara Slane, Former American Gaming Association Sr VP
Victor Salerno, President, USBookmaking & US Fantasy Sports

“All five of these individuals are among the trailblazers of sports betting in the United States. From operators, legislatures, oddsmakers, and industry advocates this group also shows the depth and breadth of the overall industry within the US,” said Sue Schneider, SBC’s vice president of growth and strategy.

How To Watch The Induction Ceremony

In 2019, the Betting on Sports America conference was the home for the Sports Betting Hall of Fame induction ceremony. In 2020, the conference will once again hold the ceremony.

The conference will take place at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in New Jersey. During the conference, there will be many different talks held. The topics range from the basics of sports betting, social issues regarding sports betting, and the state of sports betting in the U.S.

Of course, the Sports Betting Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place as well. Tickets are currently on sale for the Betting on Sports America event for $395. The rate will increase by $300 on December 22.
