Mattress Mack To Place Largest Bet On Kentucky Derby Ever

• Mattress Mack has stated that he will place the largest bet in the history of the race on the favorite to win the Kentucky Derby.

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The Kentucky Derby is quickly approaching which means the bets are starting to flow in. With the Derby looming, famous sports bettor, Jam McIngvale, publicly known as Mattress Mack, has announced that he will be placing the largest bet in Kentucky Derby history on the favorite.

Legal sports betting sites currently have Essential Quality going into the Kentucky Derby being seen as the slightly heavy favorite.

Mattress Mack has great reasoning behind his potential bet on the Derby as in the last seven times that the Kentucky Derby has taken place on the first Sunday of May, the horse with the shortest Kentucky Derby odds has won.

In the 2021 Kentucky Derby, all signs are pointing to this trend hitting once more as Essential Quality is arguably the best racehorse in the world right now. In all five races in Essential Quality’s career, he has finished in first place every time which includes the two races that he has been in in 2021 thus far.

As for what the total amount is that Mattress Mack is planning on wagering on the Kentucky Derby, it would have to be at least $2 million to be the largest bet placed. McIngvale himself has also said that he might also bet twice that amount before the race begins.

McIngvale, who is also the owner of the Gallery Furniture retail chain is in fact very confident in his decision to bet on the favorite to the point that he is offering those that follow him in betting a full refund to any mattress that is purchased for over $3,000.
