Miami Dolphins

  • The Miami Dolphins currently have (+3300) odds to win the Super Bowl.
  • The Dolphins also have (+310) to win in the AFC East.
  • The Buffalo Bills have (-150) odds and are the favorite to secure the AFC East title.

MIAMI – The Miami Dolphins are an interesting organization heading into the 2021- 2022 NFL season. Their roster has been revamped with young talent and QB Tua Tagovailoa has been impressing the team during preseason practices.

The Dolphins finished second in the AFC East last year with a record of 10-6, three games behind the Buffalo Bills record of 13-3.

With the Dolphins’ latest improvements, they could potentially take the AFC East by storm, winning the division and making longshot NFL betting DolFANS big winners for the first time in a while.

Miami Dolphins AFC Hopes

AFC East Division Winner

  • Buffalo Bills -150
  • New England Patriots +340
  • Miami Dolphins +310
  • New York Jets +2500

Tua Tagovailoa finished last season throwing for 1,814 yards with 11 TDs and 5 interceptions, boasting a QBR of 52.5 in 10 games in his rookie year.

While these numbers were not mind-blowing, Tua was developing his NFL skillset during his rookie season, showing flashes of high-level play in games like the 34-31 win against the Arizona Cardinals. During that match-up, Tua threw for 248 yards, 20/28 completion, and 2 TDs.

The Dolphins drafted WR Jaylen Waddle during the 2021 NFL Draft. Waddle and Tua were former teammates at the University of Alabama. This makes it easy for the pair to re-ignite their chemistry in the pros and see the team having a one-two tandem.

Longshot betting fans should jump on the (+310) odds for Miami as during the season the odds will fluctuate, especially if a team performs extremely well.

Miami’s only threat in taking their division is the Buffalo Bills. The Bills beat the Dolphins both times they faced one another last season. Buffalo also went on to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship game.

Miami Vs. Buffalo

The Bills are a legitimate Super Bowl contending team. Buffalo has the fourth shortest odds to win the Super Bowl and QB Josh Allen finished second in MVP voting last season.

Buffalo retained the core of its offense while also making moves to improve on defense as well. The team has added LB Matt Milano, CB Levi Wallace, and DE Efe Obada to their roster as well.

Last season, Buffalo was 13th in pass defense and 17th in run defense. With these new additions, they have now dealt with the one issue that was on their roster, stopping their run last year.

However, even with that deficiency, the Bills still managed to destroy the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round during the playoffs. And the Ravens excel at running.

Now with an improved defense, Buffalo will be an even tougher team for the Dolphins to deal with to take the division this season. Even if they struggle to beat Buffalo, the Phins simply need to win more games and their roster is certainly poised to do so. Fans and sports bettors shouldn’t rule out Miami just yet, they have all of the right pieces for a winning puzzle in the 2021-2022 NFL season. It’s always a journey with this team, so don’t stop believing.
