Penn National Gaming partners with Sportradar

  • Penn National Gaming has announced a new partnership with Sportradar.
  • The partnership will allow Penn National Gaming to offer live NFL betting odds.
  • Sportradar will provide NFL betting data to Penn National Gaming.
  • The upcoming NFL season is scheduled to continue but could change due to the coronavirus.

WYOMISSING, Pa.Penn National Gaming announced on Wednesday that they are partnering with Sportradar for the upcoming NFL season.

Thanks to this new partnership, Penn National Gaming will receive official NFL data to use on their legal sports betting platforms.

Having this data will allow Penn National Gaming to offer live betting odds on NFL games. These live odds will be available at their retail sportsbooks and on the Barstool Sportsbook app.

This new partnership has come just in time for Penn National Gaming. The upcoming NFL season is fast approaching and now the company can offer live odds on NFL games.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Sportradar for NFL data in advance of the upcoming football season,” said Jon Kaplowitz, Senior Vice President of Penn National’s interactive gaming division. “Delivering official NFL data to our growing, loyal audience, including over 66 million Barstool fans and our 20 million casino customers, will provide tremendous wagering opportunities where we operate sportsbooks across the country.”

Will The NFL Season Happen?

Although Penn National Gaming is prepared to offer live odds on the upcoming NFL season, there is no guarantee that it will happen.

The coronavirus pandemic has taken a heavy toll on the sports betting world and it is not slowing down. Many sports leagues had to delay their season or outright cancel them altogether.

Most recently, the NFL Hall of Fame Game was canceled as well.

Although the Hall of Fame Game happens much earlier than the regular season, it shows that not even the NFL is immune to the effects of the coronavirus. A number of NFL players have tested positive for the coronavirus, putting their entire teams at risk.

If all goes well, Penn National Gaming will have live odds on the upcoming NFL season. But the risk of the NFL season being delayed or canceled is growing as states start to reopen across the country.
