Revisiting CFP Odds: Indiana Stands Alone At The Top
  • Indiana has the shortest odds to win the National Championship at +135, followed by Miami at +275.
  • The Hoosiers are four point favorites over Oregon, while Miami opens as a three point favorite against Ole Miss.

GLENDALE, Ariz. – The College Football Playoff has reached the semifinals and the field looks dramatically different from previous years, as just one of the top four seeds is still alive and only one SEC team remains.

2025 National Championship Game Winner Odds

  • #1 Indiana +135
  • #10 Miami +275
  • #5 Oregon +325
  • #6 Ole Miss +600

Indiana takes the top spot as the team with the shortest odds to win the National Championship after entering the CFP with the second best odds behind only Ohio State.

The team who beat the overall favorites, the Miami Hurricanes, jump up to #2 with +275 odds after coming in with the seventh best odds out of the 12 team field.

Oregon gets jumped by Miami after initially being three slots ahead of them prior to the playoff. Ole Miss, who came in with the longest odds initially, still remains at the bottom of the pack despite an impressive win over a legitimate Georgia team.

#10 Miami vs #6 Ole Miss Game Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Miami -3.0 (-105) -145 O 52.0 (-110)
Ole Miss +3.0 (-115) +125 U 52.0 (-110)

The two lower seeds remaining are set to face off at State Farm Stadium on Thursday night after pulling off massive upsets in the quarterfinals. Legal sports betting sites favor the tenth seeded Hurricanes over Ole Miss after their impressive first two games.

Miami has arguably been the biggest storyline of the CFP the after just barely sneaking into the playoff, then subsequently beating two of the top seven teams in the country

Ole Miss handily defeated Tulane before outlasting Georgia in a 39-34 shootout.

The Hurricanes’ defense is what has gotten them to this point, allowing 17 or less points in each of their last six games and totaling 12 sacks through their first two CFP games. On the other side, there may not be an offense in the country that is hotter than the Rebels, who have scored at least 30 points in each of their last eight games.

#5 Oregon vs #1 Indiana Game Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Oregon +4.0 (-105) +165 O 47.0 (-110)
Indiana -4.0 (-115) -195 U 47.0 (-110)

On the other side of the bracket is a Big Ten rematch from earlier in the season, which Indiana won by a final of 30-20.

Oregon has been dominant through their first two CFP games dropping 51 points on JMU and pitching a shutout against Texas Tech to show their abilities on both sides of the ball.

Indiana continues to prove why they deserve to be the top ranked team in the country, absolutely destroying Alabama by a final score of 38-3 in their first game in about three weeks since defeating Ohio State in the Big Ten championship. Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza threw the ball just 16 times, completing 14 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns with ridiculous efficiency while the run game went for over 200 yards.

The Hoosiers have not allowed more than ten points in each of their last four games to go along with three 30+ point offensive performances.

Though Oregon has looked dangerous, it is hard to imagine anyone taking down Indiana right now.
