Scottie Scheffler

  • Scottie Scheffler enters as the heavy favorite to win the Travelers Championship at +300 odds.
  • Scheffler won the Travelers Championship in 2024.

CROMWELL, Conn. – The PGA Tour hits New England this weekend as the Travelers Championship kicks off Thursday at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut.

PGA Travelers Championship Odds

  • Scottie Scheffler +300
  • Rory McIlroy +1400
  • Collin Morikawa +1600
  • Xander Schauffele +1600
  • Ludvig Aberg +2500
  • Patrick Cantlay +2500

Legal sports betting sites favor Scottie Scheffler out of the 72 player field, followed by Rory McIlroy and Collin Morikawa.

Scheffler sits atop of the FedEx Cup rankings with 3,726 points, as well as being ranked the top golfer in the world by the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR). He won the Travelers Championship last year and has won three of his last five events, including the PGA Championship.

Rory McIlroy has had a resurgent year, highlighted by his first ever win at the Masters. He currently sits at second place in both the FedEx Cup and OWGR rankings behind Scheffler.

McIlroy has struggled in his last three outings, finishing outside of the top 10 in each and finishing in the top 25 just once while missing the cut at the RBC Canadian Open.

Collin Morikawa has yet to win a PGA Tour event this year, but has finished as the runner up twice and ranks fourth in the OWGR. He finished 23rd in his most recent outing at the US Open and has not finished inside the top 10 at any event since March.

Xander Schauffele remains atop the OWGR rankings at #3 overall, but has yet to find his stroke in 2025, finishing inside the top 10 just one time in ten events. He has yet to miss the cut, but ranks 50th in the FedEx Cup standings and has not finished inside the top 10 since April.

Ludvig Aberg has been streaky in 2025, winning The Genesis Invitational in February before missing the cut in four of his next ten outings. He finished seventh at the Masters and has not finished inside the top 10 since. He sits at 10th in the OWGR rankings, falling four spots from #6 last week.

Patrick Cantlay has been hit or miss, especially in his last four outings. He finished tied for fourth place at the Truist Championship and tied for 12th at the Memorial Tournament, but missed the cut at the PGA Championship and the US Open. He ranks 20th on the OWGR and 19th in the FedEx Cup standings.

The strongest bet is Scottie Scheffler at +300, especially considering he won the event last year, but Rory McIlroy has been making noise all year and Ludvig Aberg’s streaky nature makes him an interesting bet as well.
