Gus Edwards

  • Marquise Brown is the WR1 for the Ravens and is priced at $5,800 on DraftKings.
  • DraftKings has Gus Edwards priced at $6,200 while Anthony McFarland Jr. is $2,600.

PITTSBURGH – On the rarest of occasions, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens will be playing on Wednesday afternoon due to an outbreak of COVID-19 amongst the Ravens which has pushed the game back almost a week from when it was originally supposed to be played.

Nevertheless, with this single game, DraftKings is offering daily fantasy football tournaments for this game.

With there being many players affected by COVID-19 on both teams, there are plenty of valued players available that could have breakout games with an increased role.

Gus Edwards ($6,200)

Of all the players on the Ravens, Edwards will see his role increase the most being that both of the team’s first two running back options, Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins, are both out with COVID-19.

This will leave Edwards alone in the backfield absorbing most of the run work.

Despite the Steelers having the third-best run defense in the league, Edwards has actually had his best game of the season against Pittsburgh back in Week 8. In his first outing against the Steelers, Edwards put up 87 rush yards and a touchdown for 14.7 fantasy points.

With that said, Edwards is seeing the stars align for him to be a valuable DFS play.

Marquise Brown ($5,800)

If there were ever a time for Marquise Brown to have himself a game, Wednesday’s game against the Steelers would be the time. Brown is set up to be the best and top pass-catching option available for the Ravens as the teams starting tight end, Mark Andrews, and the WR2, Willie Snead IV, have both tested positive for COVID-19.

On top of Brown being the top receiver heading into the game, he saw a decent game against the Steelers in his first time out against them as he found the endzone for a touchdown. However, that was also the last time he found the endzone this season.

Brown could also make some noise on legal sports betting sites for his total receptions though, which is set at only 3.5 catches going into this game.

Anthony McFarland Jr. ($2,600)

McFarland is going into Wednesday’s game listed as the RB2 being that the Pittsburg Steelers’ RB1, James Conner, tested positive for COVID-19.

McFarland has not gotten much opportunity to prove himself on the field this season but will certainly get the chance now and he could certainly run with it. He has a great matchup against the Ravens defense that not only ranks 19 against opposing running backs but is also missing key pieces in the defensive line as well.

The Ravens are fresh off of a game where they allowed Derrick Henry to go for 133 yards and a touchdown. With the defensive line for the Ravens set to miss more than half of their starters, McFarland should be able to solidify plenty of looks.
