PGA Tour's 3M Open odds after the cut

  • Tony Finau has the shortest odds to win the 3M tournament at +250 odds.
  • Michael Thompson is currently atop the 3M Tournament leaderboard after shooting -12 through the first two rounds.
  • 3M Open defending champion Matt Wolff is listed at +500 odds to win back to back tournaments.

BLAINE, Minn. – The PGA Tour’s latest event the 3M Open is underway as some of the best golfers in the world look to improve their place in the FedEx Cup Standings.

The second round of the 3M Open brought some new faces at the top of the leaderboard while some of those who had momentum from Round 1 carry into Round 2.

The cut line for the 3M Tournament was decided after Round 2 but for those keeping a close eye on the odds heading into Round 3, there are some value bets to be made that could end up netting a big return at sportsbooks this weekend.

Coming into Round 2, Michael Thompson had the shortest odds of leading the pack heading into the cut at +125.

Richy Werekenski was also tied with Thompson at +125 to be the leader and both are at the top of the leaderboard having shot 12 under through the first two days.

Matthew Wolff won the 3M Open last year and currently is at +500 odds to defend his title at legal sportsbooks. Wolff’s experience of the course will easily give him a slight advantage over the other golfers.

Odds To Win 3M Tournament – Post Cut

  • Tony Finau +200
  • Matthew Wolff +500
  • Richy Werenski +500
  • Michael Thompson +600
  • Patrick Rodgers +1400
  • Talor Gooch +1400

Despite the 3M Open being underway, there is still great value to be found across the board for bettors looking for medium to long-shot options.

One golfer to keep an eye out for is Patrick Rodgers who shot a 66 in Round 1. That strong showing in the first round makes Rodgers (+1400) to win the tournament a great value play as he’s in striking range of winning the 3M Open.

Round 3 Outlook

The third round of the 3M Open will feature some shuffling of the golfers that did make the cut.

Brooks Koepka battled to make the cut and will likely affect his World Golf Ranking position moving forward. Either way, the tournament has seen three heavy favorites at this point.

Expect a player with longshot golf odds to make a run at the top of the leaderboard, though.

A golfer like Bo Van Pelt (+8000) who’s hovering around sixth place on the leaderboard is a prime candidate to climb the ladder once the dust settles.

Round 3 of the 3M Open will be broadcasted by both CBS and the Golf Channel with tee times starting in the early morning. As for Thompson, Werenski, and Tony Finau, they won’t see action until noon EST.
