- Fantasy Sports Interactive will provide daily fantasy sports to Scientific Games.
- Through this, partners of Scientific Games will be able to offer daily fantasy sports.
LAS VEGAS – Fantasy Sports Interactive (FSI) has announced that they are now in a new partnership with Scientific Games.
FSI is a UK-based sports betting provider while Scientific Games is in the same industry but based in Las Vegas. Through this partnership, Scientific Games can now offer a fantasy line up to their land-based partners.
The Deal Between The Companies
As legal sports betting spreads across the United States, sportsbook providers are trying to offer more for their potential partners.
Companies like FanDuel and DraftKings were already in the daily fantasy sports (DFS) industry, but have since made the jump to sports betting.
Now sports betting providers need more to compete with these two giants.
By partnering with FSI, Scientific Games can now offer a fantasy sportsbook to their partners.
Of course, it is up to their partners to decide if they want to offer fantasy odds to their customers. But having the option to provide fantasy odds could allow Scientific Games to expand how many customers they can provide to.
“Partnering with Fantasy Sports Interactive is an important move as we continue to bolster our content offering with OpenMarket™. Sportsbooks can now seamlessly expand their portfolio with FSI’s innovative range of fantasy sports products through OpenMarket, with the sports betting content aggregation platform providing quick access to such exciting content,” said Keith O’Loughlin, SVP sportsbook digital for Scientific Games.
Sportsbooks having the ability to seamlessly expand their offerings is a big plus for sportsbooks in the country.
Many casinos and retail sportsbooks are still shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic and many sports leagues are still suspended.
There are hardly any sports leagues that are active right now and those who are active are not that popular.
Having the ability to add fantasy sports to their sportsbooks will provide customers some much-needed entertainment. This will keep some customers happy and satisfied, keeping the revenue flow going.
