Cowboys, Steelers Intro Football Odds With NFL Hall of Fame Game

CANTON, Ohio – The NFL’s offseason is almost over and football will be returning to sportsbooks when the NFL hosts its annual Hall of Fame Game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys.

On August 6, this will be the first game to kick off the NFL’s movement into the regular season and will likely be held without fans in attendance due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, as Ohio has experienced a spike in COVID-19 cases.

“Probably the last things that are going to be able to be open are the big crowds, particularly when you have big crowds that are close together,” said Mike DeWine, governor of Ohio. “So we have to continue to look at it and make decisions as we move forward, but if the question was, ‘could that even occur today?’ the answer would be, ‘no.'”

Fans not being in the stands of NFL stadiums could be a recurring theme this year as states try to keep COVID-19 cases as low as possible.

However, the game will still be played, and the Dallas Cowboys are 1.5-point favorites to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Hall Of Fame Game betting odds.

The Cowboys are also favorites on the money line at -127 odds but bettors looking for an upset should not fear taking the +107 odds on the Steelers to win.

As it’s still too early to tell who will be the starting quarterbacks for each team, bettors can get a jump on the line before it moves at legal sportsbooks. With that in mind, the Under for this matchup is favorable as well, as both teams likely won’t play many first-string players in this game.
