Top Horses To Bet On For The Hambletonian & Oaks

• Sorella is the favorite to win the Hambletonian & Oaks Race on Saturday with odds of (+200).
• The race kicks off the beginning of the Trotting Triple Crown Series at the Meadowlands Race Track.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Hambletonian & Oaks Race is upon us and sportsbooks have posted odds for the horses that will be racing in the companion race for the kick-off to the first leg of the Trotting Triple Crown.

The actual races are set to begin at 12:30 p.m. EST and go until 4:30 p.m. EST on Saturday at the Meadowlands Race Track.

The CBS network will be airing a delayed taping of the races beginning at 6:00 p.m. EST. By that time, sports bettors will know whether or not they’ve won their bets if they chose the right horses of course.

The Odds For The Races

Two wagers are up on sports betting websites for the Hambletonian & Oaks races. The first wager asks which horse will win the 2020 Hambletonian & Oaks.

Sorella comes in as the favorite but not by that much when compared to Hypnotic AM. Sorella was named after the wine and her owner Elmer Fannin believes she’s aging like a fine one, wanting his filly to beat out the others in Hambletonian & Oaks the odds indicate that it’s in her favor to do so.

The second bet on the Hambletonian & Oaks Race asks which horse will finish in the top three of the race. As any bettor would imagine, the list reads in the same order as the first bet posted. Those slated to win the race will certainly be able to make it into the top three with the same slot because their performances haven’t changed from one wager to the next. Sorella is again favored at the top of the list of her competitors.

The Race Itself

The Hambletonian & Oaks Race will take place Saturday on the Meadowland’s 1-mile track. It will consist of 12 fillies vying for the prize and the victory title. The winner of the race will receive a $600,000 prize.

Other smaller races will be sandwiched in between during the day, leaving an entire Saturday open for watching and betting on the ponies.

A live stream of the day’s events should be available on the Meadowlands YouTube channel for all bettors that want to see the action live rather than later in the evening after it’s already occurred.
