Can You Bet on Sports With Ethereum?

Yes, at offshore sportsbooks. No at any regulated, state-licensed sportsbook in the United States, and it isn’t close. Six offshore books confirm Ethereum deposits on their own cashier or help pages right now. Bovada, BetUS, BetOnline, SportsBetting.ag, BetNow and BookMaker.eu all take it.

Before you send anything, know this much:

  • No regulated book takes Ethereum, and that’s not a handful of them opting out. State regulators are the reason, and the answer is the same at every one of them.
  • The book almost never charges you to deposit Ethereum. The network does, as a gas fee your wallet pays, and no sportsbook controls what that costs.
  • You can take your money back out in ETH as well, and it lands faster than a card refund or a mailed check.
  • A deposit that hasn’t landed yet almost always has an ordinary, fixable cause. None of them mean your money is gone.

Do Regulated Sportsbooks Accept Ethereum?

No state-licensed sportsbook in the United States credits an Ethereum deposit. DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM and Caesars settle every account in dollars, and Ethereum never reaches their cashiers as Ethereum.

The partial exception involves Bitcoin. Since February 2026, DraftKings has let bettors in Illinois, Kentucky, New Hampshire and Vermont turn Bitcoin into cash at the moment of deposit, through a third-party processor, never as a crypto balance you can wager. Ethereum didn’t get the same treatment, and neither did any other coin. Massachusetts, DraftKings’ own home state, sat the rollout out after its gaming regulator moved to bar crypto-converted deposits.

None of that is a preference. A state gaming regulator certifies a specific, auditable set of payment rails for legal sports betting, each one tied to a verified identity and a traceable bank or card, because its identity checks and anti-money-laundering duties depend on that trail. A crypto wallet carries no verified name the way a bank account does, and its value moves independently of the dollar. That’s why a regulated cashier gives you ACH, bank transfer, cards, PayPal, a prepaid Play+ card and cash at a retail counter, and nothing else.

Everything from here is offshore territory.

The Best Sportsbooks for Ethereum Deposits

Ranked by the lowest confirmed minimum deposit, then by the size of any Ethereum-specific bonus. Bovada states its Ethereum minimum in ETH instead of dollars, so it sits here on bonus size and its stated confirmation count.

Every book below confirms Ethereum acceptance on its own cashier or help pages. MyBookie, Xbet and Everygame name Bitcoin and other coins but not Ethereum, so they’re out until that changes.

BetUS Ethereum Deposits

BetUS is the pick if you deposit big. It ties the lowest confirmed minimum here at $10 and carries the highest ceiling at $50,000 in a single transaction, and a crypto deposit earns an extra 50 percent on top of whatever bonus you already qualify for. The catch shows up on the way out. Ethereum payouts cap at $5,000 a day, so a big win comes back to you in installments.

Bovada Ethereum Deposits

Bovada wins on the bonus. Its Ethereum welcome offer pays 75 percent up to $750 against a standard 50 percent up to $250, and no rival here publishes an exact confirmation count for ETH deposits. The minimum is tiny at 0.002 ETH. Withdrawals are where it pinches. Ethereum payouts cap at $2,500 a week, well under Bovada’s own $5,000 per-transaction deposit max.

BetOnline Ethereum Deposits

BetOnline sets no maximum on an Ethereum deposit at all, same as Bitcoin, USDT and USDC, and charges nothing to send one. The bonus doesn’t move for crypto, though. An Ethereum deposit draws the identical 50 percent match up to $250 that a card deposit draws, so what you’re buying here is room and a zero fee.

How to Deposit Ethereum at a Sportsbook

Step 1: Get Ethereum Into a Wallet or Exchange Account

Buy the ETH or move it into a wallet or exchange account before you touch a cashier. A betting account receives Ethereum. It doesn’t sell it or create it, so the coin has to already exist somewhere you control.

Step 2: Copy the Sportsbook’s Deposit Address

Open the cashier, pick Ethereum, and copy the deposit address the book generates. That address is usually unique to your account, sometimes to that deposit alone, so pasting an address you saved last time is one of the most common ways a deposit goes missing. Copy it fresh every time.

Step 3: Send the Ethereum and Wait for Confirmations

Send the exact amount from your wallet or exchange to the address you copied. Most of these books want between one and six network confirmations before they credit you. On Ethereum that’s a wait measured in minutes, and no sportsbook can speed it up.

Step 4: Confirm the Credit and Check for a Bonus

Once it posts, check your balance and the promotions page for any Ethereum welcome or reload bonus that needs claiming on its own. Some want you to opt in before the deposit lands, so read the terms first.

Ethereum Deposit Minimums, Maximums, and Gas Fees

Ethereum sits on the same list of sportsbook deposit methods as cards, e-checks and wire transfers at these six books. It’s also the only method here that can cost you money outside the book’s own cashier.

Ethereum deposit limits and who pays the gas fee

SportsbookMinimum depositMaximum depositBook’s deposit feeWho pays the network gas fee
BetUS$10$50,000$0Sender’s wallet
Bovada0.002 ETH$5,000$0Sender’s wallet
BetOnline$10No limit$0Sender’s wallet
SportsBetting.ag$10No limit$0Sender’s wallet
BetNow$20$100,000Not statedSender’s wallet
BookMaker.eu$50Not published$0Sender’s wallet

Two different fees are in play, and mixing them up is the easiest way to misjudge what a deposit costs you. The book’s own fee, confirmed against each of these six cashiers or help pages, is $0 for an Ethereum deposit. None of them mention covering or reimbursing the network cost, so in practice your wallet or exchange absorbs it.

That second cost is the Ethereum network’s gas fee. It goes to the network, not the book, and no sportsbook controls what it runs. Gas moves with congestion. It runs cents when the network is quiet and more when the network is busy, and the figure changes by the hour, so check what your wallet quotes before you send. On a $5,000 deposit that’s noise. On a $10 minimum, a gas spike can eat a serious share of what lands.

Why an Ethereum Deposit Didn’t Show Up

Sent to the Wrong Address

An Ethereum transaction can’t be reversed or recalled once it’s broadcast to the network. A bank can sometimes claw a transfer back. The network can’t, and that’s why double-checking the address before you hit send matters more here than anywhere else in the process. Mistype it, or pull it from an old session, and the funds went wherever that address points.

Still Waiting on Network Confirmations

Ethereum posts a new block roughly every 12 seconds, but your deposit still needs the book’s required confirmations, between one and six of them, before it credits. A busy stretch on the network can push that to several minutes. Look the transaction up on a block explorer before you assume anything is wrong.

Sent Under the Minimum

Send less than the book’s stated Ethereum minimum, as little as $10 at BetUS, BetOnline and SportsBetting.ag, and the deposit generally won’t credit on its own. A support ticket sorts it out. This one is the easiest of the bunch to avoid. Check the minimum before you send.

Sent Directly From an Exchange Account

Some of these books’ payment processors flag or delay ETH that arrives straight from a known exchange wallet instead of a personal one. That’s a compliance step baked into how crypto processors screen wallets, and it says nothing about your account. Move the coin to a personal wallet first, deposit from there, and the delay generally disappears.

A Larger Deposit Triggered a Manual Review

A deposit well above what these books see day to day can land in manual review before it posts. It’s a normal check that clears with the same identity documents you’d need for a withdrawal anyway. Send those in before a big deposit and the wait gets much shorter.

Withdrawing Winnings in Ethereum

All six books above pay winnings back out in Ethereum, and none of them make ETH your only way out.

Ethereum payout availability and speed

SportsbookPays out in ETH?Other payout methods offeredTypical time

BetNowYesNot confirmed on BetNow’s own pagesWithin 24 hours
BookMaker.euYesBitcoin and other crypto, paper check, bank wire, prepaid card2 to 3 hours typical, up to 48 hours

Ethereum confirms in seconds to minutes once it’s broadcast, so the blockchain almost never slows a payout down. Identity verification does. Every book above requires it once before releasing any payout method, crypto included, and it’s what separates the fastest sportsbook payouts from the ones that keep you waiting. Send your ID documents in when you open the account, well before a withdrawal is already sitting in the queue.

Address handling matters too. None of these books default to paying a withdrawal back to the address your deposit came from, since a deposit address is generally generated fresh per transaction and often can’t receive an outgoing payment at all. Expect to enter a withdrawal address when you request the money, and check it with the same care you gave the deposit address. A wrong withdrawal address is just as unrecoverable as a wrong deposit address.

Ethereum Sportsbook Bonuses

An Ethereum deposit doesn’t automatically buy you a bigger welcome offer, and among these sportsbook bonuses the answer comes down to the book. Bovada’s crypto welcome bonus pays 75 percent up to $750 against its standard 50 percent, $250 offer. BetUS stacks a flat extra 50 percent on top of whatever bonus a crypto deposit already qualifies for.

BetOnline and SportsBetting.ag don’t differentiate at all. An Ethereum deposit gets the identical 50 percent match up to $250 that a card deposit gets. BookMaker.eu runs it backwards, with a 20 percent crypto welcome offer against a 25 percent card offer, so if you want the biggest match percentage there, fund with a card.

Run Bovada’s crypto sports welcome bonus on a $500 Ethereum deposit and the math goes like this. The 75 percent match is $375, so $875 sits in your account. The 5 times rollover applies to deposit and bonus together, so $4,375 has to go through the book before any of it, winnings included, comes out. A winning wager credits that total at the lesser of the amount risked or the amount won. A losing wager credits the full amount risked. Bovada also caps your biggest allowed bet while the bonus is live at 50 percent of the deposit, $250 on a $500 deposit.

Is Ethereum Worth Using for Sports Betting?

The case for it is speed and headroom. Ethereum clears in minutes where a bank transfer or a mailed check takes days. Minimums and maximums both run higher than card limits at these six books, so you can move a big bankroll in one transaction instead of slicing it into pieces. The welcome bonus is often weighted heavier for crypto, and Bovada’s 75 percent against its own 50 percent is the clearest example here. No bank or card issuer stands between you and the cashier, deciding whether your deposit looks gambling-related. Card deposits at offshore books get declined for exactly that.

The case against is just as concrete. The value of your deposit moves between the moment you send it and the moment you cash out, in either direction, and a card deposit never carries that exposure. Five hundred dollars in Ethereum today is not guaranteed to be worth $500 when you withdraw it. Gas is a genuine cost on a small deposit that a free ACH transfer doesn’t have.

Send to the wrong address and the money is gone for good, where a card charge at least has a chargeback process behind it, imperfect as that process can be. And if you’ve never bought crypto or used a wallet, there’s setup waiting for you. An exchange account, identity verification on that exchange, and a learning curve, all before your first ETH reaches a betting account.

It comes down to whether you already hold Ethereum. If you do, there’s little reason not to use it at any of these six books. The deposit is faster, the ceiling is higher, and at some of them the bonus is bigger. If you’d be buying Ethereum for the first time purely to fund a betting account, you’re taking on exchange fees and setup time a card deposit never asks for. Weigh that against what the bonus bump is worth in dollars. On a small deposit, the math doesn’t always land on Ethereum’s side, whatever the percentage says.

Ethereum vs Bitcoin at Sportsbooks

Speed is the one clean, stable technical difference between them. Ethereum produces a new block roughly every 12 seconds. Bitcoin takes roughly 10 minutes. An Ethereum deposit clears a book’s required confirmations faster for that reason alone, not because any sportsbook treats the two coins differently.

Everything else is book by book. At BetUS, Bovada, BetOnline, SportsBetting.ag and BetNow, the minimum deposit is identical for Ethereum and Bitcoin, so the coin doesn’t change how little you can send. Bonus percentages don’t split by coin either. Bovada’s crypto bonus and BookMaker.eu’s crypto bonus both apply across the coins each book accepts.

Ethereum vs. Bitcoin

EthereumBitcoin
Typical confirmation timeRoughly 12 seconds per blockRoughly 10 minutes per block
Minimum deposit (most books)$10$10
Network fee, typical rangeMoves with network congestion; no fixed figure holds for more than a few hoursMoves with network congestion; no fixed figure holds for more than a few hours

Neither coin is reliably more volatile than the other in a way worth stating as settled fact, since that ranking shifts week to week. What’s mechanical and checkable is speed, minimums and fees, and on all three the gap between Ethereum and Bitcoin sportsbooks is narrow. Already hold one of the two? Converting to the other just to bet buys you nothing. Both work at every book above.

Ethereum Sports Betting FAQ

Which Sportsbooks Accept Ethereum?

Bovada, BetUS, BetOnline, SportsBetting.ag, BetNow and BookMaker.eu confirm ETH deposits on their own cashier or help pages today. MyBookie, Xbet and Everygame list Bitcoin and other coins but not Ethereum by name, so they’re off the list until that changes.

Do Regulated Sportsbooks Accept Ethereum?

No. DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM and Caesars settle accounts in dollars only, and even DraftKings’ Bitcoin-to-cash feature in four states converts the coin before it ever reaches a betting account. No state-licensed sportsbook credits an Ethereum deposit as Ethereum.

What Is the Minimum Ethereum Deposit at a Sportsbook?

Ten dollars, at BetUS, BetOnline and SportsBetting.ag. Bovada states its minimum in Ethereum instead of dollars, at 0.002 ETH.

Are There Fees to Deposit Ethereum at a Sportsbook?

The book charges $0 at every one of these six. The separate cost is the Ethereum network’s gas fee, paid to the network instead of the book, and it moves with congestion.

How Long Does an Ethereum Deposit Take to Clear?

Most of these books credit after between one and six network confirmations, which on a roughly 12-second block time means minutes. Bovada is the only book here that publishes its exact confirmation count.

Can You Withdraw Sports Betting Winnings in Ethereum?

Yes. All six that accept Ethereum deposits pay winnings back out in it. Processing runs from about an hour at Bovada to within 24 hours at most of the others, and identity verification, not the blockchain, generally decides how fast your first one arrives.

Why Hasn’t My Ethereum Deposit Shown Up Yet?

Most often it’s still waiting on network confirmations, it came in under the book’s stated minimum, or it arrived straight from an exchange wallet and tripped a compliance flag. None of those mean the money is gone.

Do Ethereum Deposits Get a Bigger Bonus Than Card Deposits?

Depends on the book. Bovada and BetUS both weight a crypto deposit noticeably higher than a card deposit. BetOnline and SportsBetting.ag apply the same bonus either way, and BookMaker.eu’s card bonus runs higher than its crypto one.

Is Ethereum or Bitcoin Better for Sports Betting?

Neither reliably beats the other for betting. Ethereum confirms faster, roughly 12 seconds a block against Bitcoin’s roughly 10 minutes, but the two carry identical minimum deposits at most of these books and neither is reliably cheaper to send. Already holding one of them? Converting to the other just to bet buys you nothing.

Do You Need a Crypto Wallet Before You Can Bet With Ethereum?

Yes. The Ethereum has to exist in a wallet or exchange account before you can send it. A betting account won’t create or sell the coin for you.

The Short Version

  1. No regulated, state-licensed sportsbook takes Ethereum or any other crypto as a wagerable deposit, and that split isn’t moving anytime soon. Crypto betting is offshore betting.
  2. The book’s own deposit fee is almost always $0. The cost that matters is the Ethereum network’s gas fee, which moves on its own schedule and is worth checking before you send a small amount.
  3. Get identity verification done before your first withdrawal. That step, not the blockchain, decides how fast an Ethereum payout reaches you.
