LOS ANGELESWeek 14 of the NFL season is set to kick off with a Thursday Night Football matchup between the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots. This meeting between the two is also their first meeting against each other since meeting in Super Bowl 53.

With this matchup, DraftKings has plenty of single-game daily fantasy football tournaments to offer. There are plenty of value players from both teams that GM’s can take advantage of for solid asking prices.

  • Cam Akers, RB, Rams, $8,000
  • Josh Reynolds, WR, Rams, $5,600
  • Sony Michel, RB, Patriots, $4,800.

Cam Akers

Akers offers plenty of upside in this matchup with New England. He is slowly but surely taking over RB1 duties for the Rams and he has been running with the opportunities.

In his last two games, he has gone for 14.4 and 16.4 fantasy points as he has rushed for 72 or more yards in both games and has also rushed for a touchdown in each game. With the Rams offense being able to move the ball up the field in bunches, Akers could be set up for plenty of red zone carries here.

Aside from his fantasy value, he also offers upside on legal sports betting sites as well as he has hit the over for his rushing yard total in his last two games and could be on pace to hit it once more.

Josh Reynolds

Josh Reynolds could pull his fantasy value in this matchup against the Patriots despite being overshadowed by both Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods.

The fact that both Kupp and Woods will be shadowed by Stephon Gilmore and J.C. Jackson, arguably the best cornerback duo in the league, should open up plenty of opportunities for Reynolds to make plays.

Reynolds has had a quiet last three games being that both Kupp and Woods have been thriving, but with such a tough secondary to get by, it is hard to see Reynolds not taking targets away from both Kupp and Woods.

Sony Michel

Sony Michel could be in line for a nice night here on the ground. With the Los Angeles Rams defense being first overall in defending the pass, it is hard to see New England not running a run-first offense here tonight.

With that said, that would completely shift James White out of the running back rotation as he is seen as the passing catching back which would open up more field time for Michel. Michel also returned to action in Week 13 after being out since Week 3 and saw 10 carries.

He will certainly see an uptick in carries here with this being a tough matchup for the Patriots passing game. Also, the Rams defense ranks 20 in the league against opposing running backs and have allowed for opposing backs to go for over 40 yards and a touchdown in each of their last two games.
