DENVER – The massive online Colorado sports betting market has just gotten bigger with the beta launch of an all new sportsbook, Bally Bet.

Bally Bet is the result of Bally’s Corporation acquiring Bet.Works, a sports betting technology company. Together, the two entities have launched the 19th online sportsbook in Colorado but will be refining the product in the coming months.

During this time period, bettors won’t see much marketing and advertising for Bally Bet. The focus for the company will be more towards testing and polishing up the product so they can launch in other state.

Bet.Works currently has a license in Indiana, Iowa, and New Jersey in addition to their legal sports betting license in CO.

“Bally Bet is the culmination of a tremendous amount of hard work by both the Bally’s and Bet.Works teams, and represents a key component of Bally’s long-term growth and diversification strategy,” said David Wang, CEO and Founder of Bet.Works.

What Makes Bally Bet Special?

Coming in so late to the market provides some additional challenges for any sportsbook. Bally’s has announced certain ways in which they plan to stand out.

Bally Bet will feature exclusive in-app parlay games with unique social features only found on their platform. On top of that, users of the app will accumulate points which can then be redeemed at Bally’s owned casinos across the U.S.

For bettors in Colorado, that includes Mardi Gras Casinos housed in Black Hawk, CO.

“We are excited to provide sports fans across Colorado with a new and innovative way to engage with their favorite sports and teams, and are confident that the Bally Bet sportsbook will provide those fans with the same unique and first-in-class experience that our loyal gaming customers have come to expect from our three Colorado casinos,” said Adi Dhandhania, SVP of Strategy and Interactive for Bally’s Corporation. “By integrating Bally Bet with Bally Rewards, we will provide sports and gaming enthusiasts with an unmatched betting experience.”

Bally Bet will have to live up to their promises in order to compete with the likes of DraftKings and FanDuel which have been active in the state for over a year.

The overall Colorado sports betting handle has consistently seen growth there is still the potential to Bally’s to find a profit in the Centennial State.
