NEW YORK – The Action Network hired Ari Borod on Tuesday as the newest executive member of their company.

Borod has quite the experience as a gaming executive, serving as the Vice President of FanDuel for four years, and will replace Chad Millman as the COO Of the company.

The former VP helped FanDuel “elevate [their] position in the market” and The Action Network is looking to expand with Borod’s expertise.

“Ari’s operational experience at FanDuel will be key as we grow our partnerships with media companies, leagues, and rights holders,” said Patrick Keane, CEO of The Action Network.

While employed at FanDuel, Borod has seen and tackled firsthand situations, making connections with media companies and leagues during his four years.

FanDuel is a sponsor for the NBA as an “official gaming partner” where league data including teams’ names and logos are permitted in FanDuel Sportsbook. On the league and team level, the NHL and even New Jersey Devils inked a deal with FanDuel, where name is branded across all platforms and even hold the logo at center ice.

“The Action Network’s world-class content and product leave it well-positioned to become a premier brand in the American sports betting market,” said Borod. “The consumer demand for content and insights will grow significantly. I’m excited to help expand The Action Network’s footprint.”

With Borod on board, making The Action Network the location where sports bettors need to go may come a little easier.

They are already responsible for the show “I’ll Take That Bet”, which is featured on the ESPN+ platform through their content partnership with ESPN.

A podcast dedicated to sports gambling as well as a partnership with SiriusXM for “The Action Network on SiriusXM” detailing fantasy sports are amongst additional deals the company has secured.

For leagues, The Action Network has a connection with NASCAR where their company is branded across the digital platform of the car racing organization.

No matter where the next deal comes from, it is safe to assume Borod will play a large role. As the media company looks to continue their already impressive less-than-two-year history, further expansion into sports betting is imminent for The Action Network.
